1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and tokens. Wordaic uses them to operate the web app, connect the browser extension to your account, preserve preferences, and protect the service.

2. Essential cookies

  • Authentication cookies keep you signed in to Wordaic.
  • CSRF and security cookies help prevent unauthorized requests.
  • Session and redirect cookies help complete sign-in, account checks, extension pairing, checkout, and billing portal flows.
  • These cookies are required for core service functions and cannot be disabled inside Wordaic without breaking the product.

3. Preference storage

  • Wordaic may use local storage or similar browser storage for preferences such as theme, panel state, onboarding state, and recent UI choices.
  • The browser extension may use extension storage to keep state needed for the product experience, such as panel position, connection state, and local settings.
  • Wordaic may use cookies, local storage, or extension storage to support security, session reliability, duplicate-action handling, rate-limit enforcement, and abuse-prevention controls.

4. Billing and provider cookies

When you buy a plan, manage billing, or complete a payment redirect, our payment provider may set its own cookies or similar technologies for checkout, fraud prevention, payment security, and customer portal functionality.

5. Analytics and diagnostics

Wordaic may use diagnostic and analytics tools to understand feature reliability, errors, performance, and product usage. Where possible, we keep this data focused on service operation instead of advertising.

6. Your controls

  • You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, billing, extension pairing, or account pages from working.
  • You can clear local storage and extension storage through your browser, but doing so may reset preferences or require you to reconnect the extension.
  • You can uninstall the browser extension at any time through your browser extension manager.
